Kinetic wall sculpture
TIDAL MEMORY translates Ghetti’s exploration of rhythm and perception into a sculptural object. Defined by black and white undulating lines, the piece evokes the motion of tides while introducing a dynamic element through a central axis that allows manual rotation. Balanced around its gravitational center, the piece can remain in any position, shifting the work from a static Op Art composition into an interactive experience, where each position generates a new visual reading.
The piece can be installed in multiple orientations, reinforcing the core principle of Configurable Art by allowing the viewer to actively engage with and redefine the work
Configurable Art is proud to present TIDAL MEMORY by artist Cristina Ghetti, developed as part of our Special Guests program.
The artist collaborated with Felipe Pantone and his team to explore the transformation of her MAREAS series into a new format, researching how a two-dimensional optical composition could evolve into a kinetic wall piece through material, structure, and movement.
Tidal Memory
