Configurable Art is proud to present TOTEM SKYNARA by artist Ghizlane Agzenaï as a result of the first edition of our Residency Program that took place in September 2022.
The artist spent a week with Felipe Pantone and his team discussing processes, artistic investigations, and researching possibilities of using various materials and techniques in order to create the final piece.
TOTEM SKYNARA represents the aspects of Ghizlane Agzenaï´s Totem series, converging in a vertical sculpture, a dialogue between the powerful colors and geometrical shapes, inspired by her multiple trips around the world and her hometown.
The four-part structure can be assembled in various forms, giving the piece the core idea of Configurable Art by creating new dimensions of interpretation.
Ghizlane Agzenaï (Tanger, 1988) is a self-taught visual and street artist whose colorful structure totems have become part of the urban landscapes of cities like Berlin, Barcelona, Casablanca, and Paris among others. Her work has been part of exhibitions in spaces like Fondation Vasarely, France and the Biennale of Rabat, Morocco. As well as her most recent collaboration with french brand Guerlain´s art-inspired luxury collection.
The exclusive edition of 20 copies + 5 AP's, has been completely created and produced at Felipe Pantone’ Studio in Valencia, Spain and it will be released on the Configurable website on February 14th, 2023.

ABOUT
Felipe Pantone
Felipe Pantone evokes a spirit in his work that feels like a collision between an analog past and a digitized future, where human beings and machines will inevitably glitch alongside one another in a prism of neon gradients, geometric shapes, optical patterns, and jagged grids.
Based in Spain, Pantone is a byproduct of the technological age when kids unlocked life’s mysteries through the Internet. As a result of this prolonged screen time, he explores how the displacement of the light spectrum impacts color and repetition.
For Pantone, his art is a meditation on the ways we consume visual information. Drawing inspiration from kinetic artist like Victor Vasarely and Carlos Cruz-Diez (who both worked with movement, his contemporary work deals with dynamism, transformation, digital revolution, and themes related to the present times.
