"I like the fact that there are multiple possibilities for Totem Skynara to be."
'My art is inspired by retrofuturist aesthetic, science-fiction and optical art. Totem Skynara came from a drawing I had made earlier in 2022. It’s named after a planet from the Star Wars saga which is a huge source of inspiration for me. I knew I wanted to make a sculpture and the challenge for me was to think of a totem that could be modular. I also wanted to use a different material that I usually use.'
FPSTUDIO and Configurable Art has had the pleasure of working alongside Ghizlane Agzenaï as part of the Configurable Residency Program. Ghizlane, together with Felipe Pantone and his team discussed art, researched possibilities of various materials and explored different techniques, and managed to come up with a prototype of a limited edition sculpture.
FPSTUDIO has produced this exclusive edition at the studio based in Valencia (Spain) and it released on February 14th, 2023
“ I got to experience working with a team and different machines. It has been an amazing experience coming up with a totem with so many new and different ways to produce it. ”
